C. Mystic, whose given name is Corey Campbell, grew up on the southside of Chicago, IL,. C. Mystic was the product of a recessive era and low income environment. His urban upbringing gave him the experience to lyrically expell his point of view of life through music audio. Music is a genetic connection as not only he himself is an artist, so is his older brother (E-Dub The Gangsta), and in the 1950's; his grandfather "James Campbell" was a vocalist and songwriter of the Doo Wop quintet "The Dandeliers" under the infamous United Records. C. Mystic has grown to be an exceptional underground artist, with a catalogue of many works and a variety of features from many other artists from all around.
"I refuse to call most of these modern day "Rappers" artists; just for the sole reason of that they lack originality and passion. Hip Hop was the tool to get the message across to the masses. It was supposed to be about the art and not the money and women. Somewhere, we lost that aspect to corporate interests. We have to get back to the basics."
"My wishes are to leave an impact on someone in this world for the better. I want to use my platform to help as many people as I can to get where they need to be; whether it be music, education, or developing some sort of skill that would help them become a suitable aspect for the world we live."
